Origin/meaning

The Sun Symbol alludes to the former Home Area of the Regiment, New Mexico. The Crest is that for Regiments and Separate Battalion of the Army Reserve.
The Arms was approved for the 410th Infantry Regiment 15 June 1925, and transferred to the 410th Regiment on 9 July 1999. The Crest was removed on 29 July 1959,
it was reinstated on 26 June 1970.
