Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The compass star represents the many facets of the maintenance mission. The open book symbolizes the wealth of knowledge required by the staff. The quill focuses on the written guidance and directives issued by flight personnel. Literature: Image from Wikimedia Commons
