Origin/meaning

Teal blue is the colour foremerly used for Aviation Units, The Annulet symbolises a Lens and refers to reconnaissance, aerial observation and surveillance.
It also represent a Link of Chainmail, indicating subordination to the 1st Armored Division. The Wings symbolises Aviation, Aerial Transport and combined with the Annulet - Aerial Photography.
The Flash symbolises the Commuincation Function. The Eagle's Head alludes to keen vision and high standards of the Unit.
