History: Designated as Maintenance Squadron, 57 Maintenance and Supply Group, and organized, on 20 Apr 1948. Discontinued on 20 Sep 1948. Consolidated (22 Oct 1984) with the 57 Maintenance Squadron, Fighter, Jet, which was constituted on 20 Jul 1948. Activated on 20 Sep 1948. Redesignated 57 Maintenance Squadron on 20 Jan 1950. Inactivated on 8 Oct 1953. Redesignated 57 Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and activated, on 24 Feb 1961. Organized on 1 Apr 1961. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1968. Redesignated 57 Field Maintenance Squadron on 28 Aug 1969. Activated on 15 Oct 1969. Redesignated: 57 Equipment Maintenance Squadron on 1 Jan 1978; 57 Maintenance Squadron on 3 Jan 2009.
