Official blazon
Shield: Azure, a quill Argent and a lightning flash saltirewise Gules fimbriated of the second.
Crest: That for regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath Argent and Azure, the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The Statue of the Minute Man Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor), stands on the Common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Motto: Raising the standard.
Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, a quill Argent and a lightning flash saltirewise Gules fimbriated of the second. Attached below the shield a Red scroll inscribed "RAISING THE STANDARD" in Silver.
Origin/meaning
Dark blue and scarlet are the colours associated with Personnel Services Units. The Flash denotes speed in service while maintaining the standards noted in the Motto. The Quill stand for administrative excellence.
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia, was both approved on 8 August 1995.
