Orange is one of the colours of the Signal Corps. The Fleurs-de-lis is indicative of the two Battle Honours awarded for Central Europe and Rhineland in World War II. The Enflammed Arrow symbolises the signal Function. The Lion's Head symbolises the Battalion's Meritorious Unit Commendation for Southwest Asia service. The Three Spearheads symbolises campaign participation credits for Defense of Saudi Arabia, Liberation and Defense of Kuwait and Cease Fire. The Sun, Castle Wall and Water recalls the Unit's World War II service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, Central Europe and Rhineland.

The Coat of Arms was approved on 24 August 1967. It was amended to add a Crest on 9 November 2007. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 30 October 1967.
