Shield: Per pale wavy Tenné and Argent, a fleur-de-lis, the outher petals each charged with a lozenge, all counterchanged, over all on a winged chevronel abased Sable fimriated of the second, four plates accousted by six billets three of the last.

Distinctive Unit Insignia Description: a silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale wavy Tenné and Argent, a fleur-de-lis, the outher petals each charged with a lozenge, all counterchanged, over all on a winged chevronel abased Sable fimriated of the second, four plates accousted by six billets three of the last. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll inscribed "THE COMMANDER'S VOICE" in Black letters.

Origin/meaning

Organde and White are the colours of the Signal Corps. The Wave symbolises the Rhineland where the Unit served during World War II.The Fleur-de-lis symbolises service in France during both World Wars. The Two Diamonds allude to the two leading countries in the Diamond Cutting Industry - Belgium and the Netherlands, where the Battlion also served during World War II. The Winged chevron alludes to the historic Airbone mission. The symbols on the Chevron is the Morse Code for the number 82. The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 27 October 1958.
