Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 15, 1924.

The castle and the water represent the medieval lake with the castle on an island. The red colour refers to thebloody struggles between Ezzelino Da Romano and the Da Carrara family, who ruled the city. The word Amnia on the tower is the historical name of the area.
