Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 12, 1991.

The castle allude to the original Arab name of the village, meaning "little castle"; now the castle has disappeared. The two trees are elms, a traditional sign in the arms of Alcoletge. Gold and black are the colours of the Anglesola family, landlords of the village. Literature:
