German	Gespalten von Gold und Silber durch eine eingebogene grüne Spitze, darin ein wachsender silberner Wohnturm mit Mittelwand und zwei perspektivisch dargestellten, an der Außenkante durch je einen Stützpfeiler verstärkten Seitenwänden, umlaufendem Zinnenkranz und unter dem das Obergeschoss umlaufenden Rundbogenfries acht offenen Segmentbogenfenstern, davon die drei oberen doppelt, sowie der Mittelwand vorgesetzten, fünfzinnigem zweistöckigem Torbau, offenem Rundbogentor und ebensolchem Fenster; vorne vier rote Schrägbalken, hinten zwei rote Balken.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 5, 1981.

The bends are the arms of the County Wied, to which the area historically belonged until 1806. The two bars are taken from the arms of the Lords von Iseburg, who had several rights in the village. The base shows the Braunsberg castle in the municipality. The green symbolises the rich nature in the municipality.
