Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 19, 1957.

The right half shows a silver lion taken from the arms of the Counts of Homburg, who rule dthe village in medieval times. The left half shows the silver balls of the Sickingen territory, to which the village belonged since the 16^th century.
