Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 19, 1957 and again registered in 1988.

The ax and rifle refer to the ancient craft professions of carpenter and gunsmith. The hills and fire refer to the beacon lit on Hoverberget to warn locals about approaching danger.
