  • (1991) Ecartelé aux 1 et 4 d'or à trois huchets de gueules virolés d'argent, aux 2 et 3 d'argent à deux chevrons de sable.

Origin/meaning

The previous arms were granted on July 21, 1923, the new arms on December 18, 1991.

The old arms are based on a 16th century seal of the town, which showed the arms of Martin van Horn(e), Lord of Braine-le-Château. The first and fourth quarter show the arms of the County of Horn, the meaning of the other quarters I don't know.

In the new arms the arms of Horn are combined with the two chevrons of the arms of the Abbey of Wauthier-Braine.
