Wappen von Dingelstädt/Coat of arms (crest) of Dingelstädt
Official blazon
German
  • (1859) In Silber ein bewurzelter grüner Eichenbaum mit einem frei schwebenden goldenen Ring um den Stamm.
  • (2021)

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 2021 and were the result of a contest with nearly 100 designs.

The tree with the ring is taken from the old arms, see below. The (now) 5 acorns represent the former municipalities.

The red wheel is the arms of the Eichsfeld region (and is derived from the arms of the State of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged. The cross also refers to Mainz as a Christian symbol.

The waves in the base refer to the Unstrut river.

The previous arms were officially granted in 1859.

If this text appears, it means that background information is available, but that I have not yet had the time to add the information on these arms. Just [|mail me with the name of the town in the subject !] and I will add all information that I have !
