Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 3, 1931 and again on November 26, 1981.

The old arms are derived from the oldest known Lords of Gesves, and were described in colour for Daniel de Gesves in 1357. The family ruled the estate until 1574.

The new arms combine the old arms in the first and fourth quarter, and the old arms of Mozet in the second and third quarter.
