HAVERLAH

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Wolfenbüttel
Samtgemeinde : Samtgemeinde Baddeckenstedt

Haverlah.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 5, 1967.

The arms were newly designed in 1967 as there are no older seals or arms known for the village. The -lah part of the name means 'forest', and hence a deer was chosen, as these animals are abundant in the forest around the village. The colours are those of the State of Hildesheim, to which the area historically belonged.
