Origin/meaning

The arms tell a story that spans 4 generations. Two oak leaves on top represent the armiger's grandfather and great grandfather, who were park rangers. A chevron refers to their parents who provided a fantastic family home to grow up in, a “roof“ above their head. At the bottom a hexagon charged with a fillet pall, resembles a cube, it refers to the armiger's job as a game and digital designer.

The crest shows an old branch sprouting young oak twigs, felled yet more alive than ever. This refers to the armiger's great grandfather who miraculously survived a grave injury during the Great War.

The motto ROBUR, translates to “strength“ and also refers to “hard timer“ and “oak”. It describes the whole story in one single word.
