Arms of Kungsbacka
Official blazon
Swedish

I blått fält en kvinnlig helgonfigur av silver, hållande i höger hand en stav och i vänster en kalk, båda av guld.

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms was approved in 1948 and again for the enlarged Kungsback in 1974. The Seal of the City of Kungsbacka, known since the 1580ies show a Female Saint.
As the city church was dedicated to St Gertrud, it is thought that the seal represents her. But the Attribute of St Gertrud is a Church Model not a staff.
The City however wanted the Figure with a Staff, and so it was approved.
