Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 29, 1994.

The upper half shows the local postoffice, a monument and landmark in the village. The stork symbolizes the nature in the region, but storks also nest in reality on the building. The base shows a green field and wheatears as a symbol for the agricultural character of the municipality.
