Origin/meaning

These arms have been officially granted on 25th April 1990.

The crossed keys of St. Peter are a traditional element of the arms of the village, and are the attribute of the local patron saint. The cross of Malta reminds that La Portella belonged to the Hospitaller knights since the 12^th century.
