Origin/meaning

The arms are largely based on the arms of the d’Abzac de Montastruc family (bordure with balls and bend), with the addition of a red star as a canting element (aster is star in Latin), a sword for the battle of Lamonzie (May 25, 1650). a silver ball for the victims of the battle and a fox carrying game (derived from a sculpture in the basement of the local castle).
