Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 3, 1993.

The book with the eyes refers to St. Odily, the oldest known saint connected to the village. The wavy bar refers to the local spring, which in medieval times supposedly cured people from the black plague. The base refers to the agricultural character of the municipality.
