Wapen: Kepersgewys verdeel, swart en groen, 'n silwer keper belaai met 'n ander van bruin en getop met 'n uitkomende silwer knopkruis, vergesel in die skildvoet van 'n kleipot met twee handvatsels, ook silwer, in bruin en swart versier.
Helmteken: 'n Groen muurkroon belaai met 'n versmalde silwer dwarsbalk, daarop 'n ander van swart.
Wrong en Dekklede: Silwer en groen.
Wapenspreuk: AUCTORITAS ET FIDES

Arms: Per chevron, Sable and Vert, a chevron Argent charged with another Brunatre and ensigned of a cross pomme issuant Argent, in base a clay jar with two handles, also Argent, embellished Brunatre and Sable.
Crest: A mural crown Vert charged with a bar Argent, thereupon another Sable.
Wreath and mantling: Argent and Vert.
Motto: AUCTORITAS ET FIDES

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 2, 1990.

The Basotho word letsopa means clay, hence the clay pot in base. The trefoil issuant from the peak of the chevron has been added for decorative effect, most conical Basotho grass hats being decorated in a similar fashion .
