I rött fält en medelst vågskura bildad stam och ovanför denna två korslagda skogshuggaryxor av silver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 19, 1962 and restored in 1984.

The arms of Malå alludes to forestry (the axes), copper resources (the colour gules) and the river Malån (the wavy partition).
