History: Formed at Lee on Solent in March 1939.

English In front of two wings conjoined in base a lymphad, the sail charged with a demi-sun.

Motto: Dions buail.

Origin/meaning

The Lymphad symbolises that the Group was operating from the Western Isles at the time of the granting of the Badge. The Wings and Demi-Sun indicating taking coverage of shipping towards the East. The Badge was approved in July 1943.
