NO 259 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE

History: Formed at Felixtowe in august 1918 and reformed at Keperu in Kenya February 1943.

Official blazon

On a terrestial globe azure/Or an eagle's head erased facing to sinister Or.
Motto: Haya ingia na pigana = Get in and fight.

Origin/meaning

The Badge is indicative of Royal Air Force Service (indicated by the Eagle's Head) over Eat and South African Waters. The Badge was granted in July 1945.
