NO 815 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1939 at Royal Navla air Station Worthy Down (HMS Ariel), Hampshire as a Torpedo-Bomber Squadron. Reformed at Royal Navla Air Station Eglinton (HMS Sea Eagle), Northern Ireland 1947-1955 as a anti Submarine Warfare Squadron. From 1981 it operates Westland Lynx Helicopters on Ship Detachments.

Origin/meaning

The Badge and Motto alludes to Anti-Submarine Warfare. It was approved in 1949.
