NO 879 SQUADRON, FAA

History: Frist formed in 1942 at Royal Naval Air Station St Merryn as a Fleet Fighter Unit. Served in the Desert Air Force and later on HMS Attacker.

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto translates as "Attack is the best means of defence". The Badge was approved in 1943.
