NO 898 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1942 at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia, USA as a Fleet Fighter Squadron, serving with HMS Victorious in the US Pacific Fleet in 1943. Later served in Norway and the Atlantic. Reformed 1956 at Royal Naval Air Station Brawdy with Seahawks and disbanding in 1959.

Origin/meaning

The Badge was approved in 1944.
