History: No 5 School of Technical Training was formed at Locking on January 2, 1939. But the Station as such was not established until May 15, 1950.

In front of a lighthouse sable lanterned Or a seagull argent alightning upon a key fesswise wards downwards and to the sinister Ot.
Motto: Docemus = we teach.

Origin/meaning

The Gull and Lighthouse is from the arms of Weston-super-Mare, close to the Station and is indicative of the location. The Key is indicative of knowledge symbolising the Training Units based at the Station. The badge was granted in April 1977. Literature: Image from Pinterest.
