Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 14, 2008 to the municipality of Reesdorf II.

The bridge is the local bridge on the Eider river from 1803, which is also a local landmark. The kingfisher is a common bird along the Eider river and symbolises the rich nature. The green colour refers to the ladscape (agriculture and nature), the blue symbolises the Eider and other streams and ponds in the municipality.
