ROYAL MILITARY POLICE, AGC, BRITISH ARMY

History: formed in 1926 as the Corps of Military Police by amalgamation of the Military Mounted Police and the Military Foot Police. Granted the prefix Royal in 1946 in recognition of their past service.

The Royal Cypher with crown above within a wreath of laurel; below the wreath a scroll inscribed "Royal Military Police" in silver plate.
