Gevierendeeld: 1 en 4 van zilver met een leliebloem van keel; 2 en 3 van keel met een uitkomende moor, omgord en gekroond met goud, gekleed van sinopel, de armen naakt en gekruist achter het lichaam. Over alles, van azuur met een hertenkop in natuurlijke kleur, bezaard met hermelijnstaartjes van zilver. Het schild geplaatst vóór een Sint-Elooi, rechtstaand, aanziend, met nimbus, met mijtel in bisschoppelijk gewaad, houdende in de rechterhand een hamer en, in de linkerhand, een bisschopsstaf, de kromming naar buiten gekeerd, alles van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 24, 1960.
The arms are those of the Plotho family, Barons of Ingelmunster and Lords of Sint-Eloois-Vijve from the 1583 until the end of the 18th century. They adopted these arms in the 17th century. The supporter is St. Elois, the local patron saint. The composition is taken from the seal of the local council from 1776.
