German In Rot schräg gekreuzt ein gestürzter silberner Schlägel und ein gestürzter silberner Hammer über einem gesenkten schmalen silbernen Wellenbalken, darunter ein waagrecht liegendes goldenes Eichenblatt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 7, 1972.

The upper part shows the miner's tools, symbol for the copper mining in the municipality, which was first documented in 1542. The mining was abandoned in 1922. To inidicate that there is no longe rmining activity, the tools are placed upside down. The wavy bar symbolises the Kahl river. The lower part shows an oak leaf, symbol for the oak forests in the Spessart region, in which the municipality is situated.
