I blå sköld en med kärna försedd krenelerad borg vars tvänne yttre kreneleringar äro försedda med flaggor. Borgen åtföjd av en halvmåne till höger och en sexuddig stjärna till vänster, allt av silver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 28, 1924.

The arms are based on the oldest known seal of the city, dating from 1471. The arms are typical for a medieval seal, with the local castle/fortress/city surrounded by a moon and sun as symbols for eternity.
