Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1954, but did not receive a royal grant. The arms were formally registered in 1976.
It symbolises the Small Industry and Industriness of the Area. The Number of the Waterwheels indicates the five Church Parishes that made up Gnosjö.
