UPPLAND
Official blazon
I rött fält ett riksäpple av guld.
Origin/meaning
The arms show an orb and were already used at the funeral procession of King Gustav Vasa in 1560. The orb symbolises the royal power and the Swedish Kings were crowned in Uppsala at the time, the capital of the province.
