LES ESSARTS-LE-ROI
Département : Yvelines
French | Tiercé en pairle renversé: au 1er d'azur à la fleur de lis d'or, au 2e de sinople à feuille de chêne d'or, au 3e de gueules à deux grêliers d'or entrelacés en pal. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The fleur-de-lys refers to the fact that the village was founded by the French Kings. The oak leaf refers to the forests and rural character of the village. The two hunting horns are taken from a design in the Castl eof St. Hubert and are a symbol for the former hunting in the area.
