Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on September 14, 1960.

The municipality uses two shields separately. The arms with the rings are those of the Breitenlandenberg family, who owned most of the village since 1580. The other shield shows the arms of the Roppach family, as François-Guillaume de Roppach married Marie-Catherine de Breitenlandenberg in 1705.
