Origin/meaning

The pine tree symbolises the local the pine forests and at the same time the nickname of the inhabitants: "Eths Amporèrs" which means "spruce". The cow represents the the agricultural (cow herding) character of the municipality. The chief refers to the local patron saint, Saint Peter.
