English | Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: A silver rectangular shaped embroidered device convexed at top and bottom, its overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 3/4 inches (6.99 cm) in width and edged with a 1/8 inch (0.32 cm) red border, charged with a yellow torch under a maroon Devil Ray. Attached above, a yellow scroll inscribed “IEKHS” in maroon letters 5/16 inch (0.79 cm) in height. Attached below, a yellow scroll inscribed DEVIL RAYS” in maroon letters 5/16 inch (0.79 cm) in height.
Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in width overall, charged with two green islands, the right of two palm trees, with a red Devil Ray leaping from the blue water, its tail between the palms, all surrounding a sun rise. Attached and running throughout a red scroll inscribed “STRIVE FOR SUCCESS” in base metal letters. |
Origin/meaning
Maroon and gold are the school’s colors. The Devil Ray is the school’s mascot. The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 8 September 2005.
