Shoulder Sleeve Insignia.  Description:  On a white horizontal rectangle with arced sides and a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) red border, 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in height and 2 13/16 inches (7.14 cm) in width overall, a red horse’s head detailed dark red issuing from dexter between the inscription “BARNWELL” above and “WARHORSES” below in red letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height.


Shoulder Loop Insignia.  Description:  A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Gules a bend Sable between a horse’s head couped Argent and a lamp of knowledge flamant of the like.  Attached above the shield a red scroll inscribed “BARNWELL” in Silver letters.

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia:  Red and white are the school colors.  The motto, “Warhorses,” refers to the school’s mascot.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved 4 June 1991. The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved 5 August 1987.
