French Écartelé: au 1er d'or à deux vaches de gueules, accornée, onglées, colletées et clarinées d'azur passant l'une au-dessus de l'autre, au 2e d'azur à l'épi de maïs au trait d'argent posé en barre, au 3e d'azur à la coquille renversée au trait d'argent, au 4e à la dague versée en bande d'azur garnie de gueules; sous le tout, une terrasse de gueules à l'étoile cousue d'azur.

Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the arms of the province of Béarn, the second the cultivation of corn, the main agricultural activity. The third shows a shell, indicating that Laàs is on the road to Santiaho de Compostella and the fourth shows the dagger of Saint Barthélémy, patron saint of the parish.
