OLTINGUE

Département : Haut-Rhin

Blason de Oltingue/Arms (crest) of Oltingue
Official blazon
French D'argent à la demie roue de sainte Catherine de gueules, faillie en chef et surmontée des lettres gothiques de sable, O à dextre et B à senestre.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms of Oltingue date from the 17th century. The wheel is the symbol of St. Catherine, the local patron saint. The letter O is the initial of the village, whereas the B stands for Bouxwiller, as until 1789 the village belonged to the Bouxwiller estate.
