SPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND, US SPACE FORCE
History: Established as Space Command, and activated, on 1 Sep 1982. Redesignated as Air Force Space Command on 15 Nov 1985; United States Space Force (serving in transitional capacity as Hq USSF) on 20 Dec 2019; Space Operations Command on 21 October 2020. Status changed from unit of the United States Air Force armed force to unit of the United States Space Force armed force on 21 Oct 2020.
