In zilver een omgewend monster met drie hondekoppen en een slangestaart van sabel, getongd en genageld van keel.  
in classical Grrek mythology Cerberus guarded the entrance to the underworld. The Motto which translates as "I prevent passage" was indicative of the Boom Defence work perfomed by the first Cerberus in Service 1952-1967. The present Cerberus is a Diving Tender. Approved 31 May 1954.
Als embleemspreuk TRANSITUM PROHIBEO (ik bescherm tegen doorgang) in Latijnse letters van sabel op een lint van zilver.
