Origin/meaning

The two wavy bars symbolise the Livier and Connette rivers in the municipality. The crosier is a symbol for Saint Laumer. Together they are canting (the name means Passage (or crossing) of of St. Laumer).

The lower half shows the Grosses Pierres rocks, a natural landmark in the municipality. The free canton refers to the former mining activities in the 19th century.
