The Panther is inherrited from 700 Squadron, one of the oldest flying unit in the Netherlands. The Orange Triangle was the Netherlands National Emblem on Aircraft during World War II. The Wall is form the arms of the German Kreis Wittlage, where the Squadron was based during the Cold War.

Dutch In goud een op de punt staande gelijkzijdige driehoek van oranje, omzoomd van sabel; in de schildvoet een gekanteelde muur in schaduwlijnen; de punten van de driehoek los van de schildrand respectievelijk los van de muur; over alles heen een naar rechts gewende panter van sabel in waakzame sluiphouding. Het geheel omgeven door de vastgestelde omlijsting met in het ovaalvormige plaatje in Arabische cijfers van sabel ‘122’ en met de embleemspreuk ‘volhardend en doortastend’.
