(Shoulder Loop Insignia) |
English | Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a black disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border, a white bulldog head collared and detailed black. Attached below the disc a white scroll arched convexly in base with beveled corners edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border and inscribed “ANNISTON” in red letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 1/2 (6.35 cm) in width. |
Origin/meaning
Black, white and red are the school’s colors. The bulldog is the school mascot and represents the cadets’ determination and aggressive spirit of learning. The five spikes on the dog’s collar symbolize the cadets’ loyalty to country, community, school, family, and self.
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 5 January 1994.
