English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The wavy chevron symbolises the Barboure river and as well the fat that the village is situated on the division between the water catchment areas of the Seine and the Meuse rivers.
The two lilies are the symbol of St. Mary, the patron saint of the local church. The ox head is a canting element (bœuf - bovée = ox).
The gold, silver and red are the colours of the Lorraine region, whereas green symbolises agriculture.
